Ameya Waikar has a diverse work experience starting from 2015. Starting from 2015, they worked as a Summer Intern at Thermax India Ltd. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Research Intern at IIT Bombay, where they developed codes for various modules in CFD. Ameya then worked as a Teaching Assistant at BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus, where they were responsible for teaching PTC Creo 3.0. In 2017, Ameya worked as an Intern at Bharat Forge Ltd. Ameya also worked as a Research Assistant at BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus during the same year.
In 2018, Ameya started working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Heat and Mass Transfer Lab, where they conducted research on heat transfer trends. Ameya continued this role till 2020. During 2018-2019, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where they were awarded a TAship for ME 5351-Computational Heat Transfer.
In 2019, Ameya worked as a CFD QA Intern at Altair. Ameya then returned to the University of Minnesota as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for ME 5341- Topics in thermal science.
Currently, Ameya Waikar is working as a Research Engineer at Convergent Science, starting from 2020.
Ameya Waikar is a mechanical engineering professional with a strong educational background. Ameya completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Furthering their education, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, which they completed from 2018 to 2020.
