Matthew Hartley

Matthew Hartley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Matthew started their career as an Account Manager at Marconi plc in 2000 and then moved to Ernst & Young as an HR Consultant. In 2005, they joined XL Group plc as an HR Development Manager, where they managed large-scale HR projects. Matthew later took on roles as an HR Operations Manager and an HR Business Partner at XL Group. From 2011 to 2012, Matthew worked as an Executive Advisor at KPMG, specializing in people and change interventions in the insurance sector. Matthew then joined Catlin Group Limited as a Group Head of HR Operations and Global HR Business Partner. In 2013, they became the UK HR Director at Catlin. After the acquisition of Catlin by XL Group, Matthew became a Director of People and Organizational Development at Capita Asset Services. Matthew then served as a Human Resources Director at Link Asset Services, where they led the HR function and developed the People strategy. Most recently, Matthew holds the position of Operations Director at Convex Insurance.

Matthew Hartley completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Management Science at the University of Warwick from 1997 to 2000. Matthew then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resources and Knowledge Management at Lancaster University from 2002 to 2003.
