Chris Grouchy

Chris Grouchy has a wealth of experience in the business world. Chris began their career in 2010 as a Student Trustee with the Ontario Student Trustees' Association, where they were the youngest elected trustee and founded a forum for elementary students to discuss macro policy issues. In 2011, they founded their own print magazine, Leading to the Future. In 2014, they took on the role of Head Teaching Assistant at Smith School of Business at Queen's University, where they coordinated 12 Teaching Assistants and provided feedback to students. In 2015, they worked at both Oracle, as a Product Marketer for the EPM Cloud, and Cisco, as a Sales and Business Development Representative for Collaboration Products. In 2016, they joined Shopify, where they were an Enterprise Account Executive, and Shopify Plus, where they were an Enterprise Account Executive and New Markets Representative for Shopify Capital. Finally, in 2018, they became the President and Co-founder of Convictional, a company that is rebuilding B2B trade for suppliers and buyers.

Chris Grouchy attended East Northumberland Secondary School, where they earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Ontario Scholar). Chris then went on to Queen's University, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Strategy and Information Systems. In 2019, Chris attended Y Combinator's W19 Batch.
