Nick Kozicki is an experienced investigator and child forensic interviewer currently working at the Kane County Child Advocacy Center since April 2022, where responsibilities include investigating reports of sexual and serious physical abuse of children. With a career at the City of Elgin, IL, beginning in September 2007, Nick has served in various roles, including Detective in the Major Investigations Division, focusing on internet crimes against children and child pornography. Additional roles have included police officer, instructor for less lethal munitions and firearms, and member of specialized units focusing on fugitive apprehension and high-risk operations. Nick also participates in task forces with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, investigating internet crimes against children. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University, completed in 2002.
