Ted Slowik

Ted Slowik has a diverse work experience in media and public relations. Ted has worked as the Director of Media and Public Relations at the Cook County Treasurer's Office since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a columnist for the Daily Southtown from 2016 to 2023, where they focused on writing about issues affecting the Southland area. Ted also worked as a Public Relations Specialist at The Morton Arboretum in 2015 and as an Independent Writer, Storyteller, and Publicist from 2015 to 2016. Ted Slowik has also held positions as the Director of PR/Media Relations at North Central College from 2008 to 2015, as well as various roles as a Writer and Reporter for different publications.

Ted Slowik attended St. Cletus from 1970 to 1979. Ted then went on to attend St. Ignatius College Prep from 1979 to 1981. Following that, they attended Lyons Township High School from 1981 to 1983. Finally, they attended Lewis University from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a B.A. degree in journalism.
