Jennifer Walters

Jennifer Walters is a highly experienced biocompatibility scientist with a robust background in toxicology and regulatory science. Currently serving as the Lead Biocompatibility Scientist at Cook Research Incorporated, Jennifer specializes in writing biocompatibility assessments in compliance with ISO 10993 standards and conducting toxicological risk assessments for medical device materials. Previously, Jennifer held a position as Research Scientist at the FDA, leading neurotoxicity research, and as a Biocompatibility Scientist at W. L. Gore & Associates, where Jennifer developed evaluation plans for medical devices. Jennifer's early career included postdoctoral research focused on the neuroanatomical mechanisms of drug-seeking behavior and toxicological studies at the National Center for Toxicological Research. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Behavioral Pharmacology from Western Michigan University and a Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Science from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
