Andrew DaCosta

Associate Principal-director Of Design at Cooper Carry

Andrew joined Cooper Carry in 2014 and was named Senior Associate in 2019. He expanded his expertise and leadership skills at another firm before returning to Cooper Carry in 2022 as an Associate Principal and Director of Design.

Andrew believes that architecture begins with a story and should evoke an emotional response. As a proponent of collaborative design, he explores problems and solutions from multiple view points and seeks out team members and clients to share their perspectives. This is critical to the process of creating thoughtful and engaging responses. His background in software design enhances his ability to think big picture, while solving the complex problems of implementation. He has experience in office, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments of varying scale.

Andrew received his Bachelor of Architecture from Kennesaw State University. He is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registrations Board (NCARB).

Born and raised in Jamaica, Andrew is always seeking the next travel location to indulge in food, explore other cultures and, of course, meet interesting people.
