Julia provides advice and assistance to a range of clients across various industries with regard to all aspects of employment, industrial relations and safety.

As an associate in Cooper Grace Ward’s workplace relations team, Julia provides advice to employers across various industries with regard to all aspects of employment, industrial relations and safety such as anti-discrimination, the operation of employment contracts and restraint of trade provisions, dismissal risks and strategies, management of ill and injured employees and general protections claims.

Julia brings 3 years’ post admissions experience, including 18 months as a solicitor representing the State of Queensland in public service employment matters. Prior to being admitted to the legal profession, Julia was a Judge’s Associate to the Honourable Justice Ann Lyons in the Supreme Court of Queensland, an experience which provided her with invaluable exposure to litigation and court processes.

Julia is qualified in Mental Health First Aid, accredited through Mental Health First Aid Australia, and has a particular interest in managing mental health in the workplace.
