Trine Nielsen

Chairman at Copenhagen Phil

Trine Nielsen has been appointed by the Minister of Culture, Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen, as Chairman of the Board of Copenhagen Phil. Trine Nielsen is the former Rector of the Danish School of Journalism and Media and the current Chairman of the new Board of directors of the Danish Film Institute.

Trine has a background from the media industry, where she has worked with business and product development in both the Berlingske House and DR. In addition, Trine has been in the music industry for a number of years, first as Commercial Director of KODA and later as a board member of JazzDanmark and Copenhagen Jazz Festival. Trine has also taught and written books on innovation and management with examples from the media and culture industry. Today, Trine is a consultant in her own company and sits/has served on a large number of boards within media, art and culture.

Trine Nielsen took over as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Copenhagen Phil on 1 January 2022.
