Georgios Damianakos

Georgios Damianakos is a Technical Project Manager and Data Scientist at CORE Group since January 2023, specializing in the intersection of machine learning and AI engineering. Previously, Georgios served as an Associate Researcher at the National Technical University of Athens, focusing on machine learning and power systems, and as a Junior Researcher concentrating on machine and deep learning forecasting in the energy field. Prior experience includes roles as a Site Electrical Engineer/Project Engineer at METRON energy applications, where responsibilities encompassed inspecting electrical construction projects and managing project resources, and as a Site Engineer at Copernicus Energy, gaining expertise in photovoltaic systems. Georgios also held positions with LG CNS Co., Ltd. as a Field Agent, performing minor field engineering and assisting Athens Metro passengers. Currently pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning and Power Systems at the National Technical University of Athens, Georgios holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Erasmus Master's degree in Industrial and Electronics Engineering from Ghent University.
