Arif Hossain

Arif Hossain has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Arif is currently working at Core Scientific as a Principal Data Engineer since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Staff Data Engineer at Core Scientific from June 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Core Scientific, Arif worked at Southwest Airlines as a Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform from November 2018 to June 2022. Arif also gained valuable experience at SailPoint, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer - Platform from June 2014 to November 2017.

Arif's career in software engineering started at Customer Care, Inc., where they worked as a Software Engineer from June 2012 to June 2014. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at UTSA College of Engineering from August 2010 to May 2012 and as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at San Antonio from August 2009 to August 2010.

Arif's early career involved working at Grameenphone Ltd as a Deputy Superintendent Engineer from June 2006 to July 2009, and at Domain Technologies as a Software Developer in 2005.

Arif Hossain holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Arif also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North South University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their degrees, Arif Hossain has additional certifications as an AWS Certified Developer - associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in April 2019, and as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - associate, obtained in August 2020.
