Job Overview

We are looking for an Art Director with exceptional design skills, a keen understanding of kid-friendly product and stationery trends, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing engaging children’s products, managing a team of designers, and overseeing marketing materials and photoshoots.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and illustrate new products, as well as marketing materials such as emails, advertisements, and social media posts.
  • Identify and collaborate with artists nationwide to potentially partner with, and oversee the design and approval process of these relationships.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new product and collection ideas.
  • Plan and execute product photoshoots to showcase our offerings effectively.
  • Design, write, and schedule email campaigns to engage our audience effectively.
  • Curate social media content and actively engage with our audience across various platforms.
  • Update website imagery and make necessary copy edits to ensure consistency and relevance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing for brands, large or small.
  • Proven experience in managing designers and overseeing their work effectively.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo and MailChimp.
  • Proficiency in Shopify for website management and updates.
  • A portfolio showcasing strong design work, including illustration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally with team members and externally with artists and partners.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities coupled with exceptional execution skills.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new skills as required to meet the evolving needs of the role and the company.
