Alejandra Donoso Barrera

Alejandra Donoso Barrera, PhD, ACII has extensive work experience in the insurance and risk management industry. Alejandra has held various roles at different companies, showcasing their expertise in catastrophe risk modeling and analysis.

Their most recent position was as a Senior Client Director at CoreLogic, where they started in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at CyberCube as a Principal Client Account Manager from May 2021 to March 2023.

Alejandra also served as a Strategic Insurance Account Manager at ICEYE from September 2020 to May 2021.

Before that, Alejandra worked at RMS as an Account Manager from March 2017 to September 2020. During their time at RMS, they promoted catastrophe risk modeling to new markets and supported clients in managing and assessing catastrophe risks.

Alejandra began their career at Ark Syndicate Management Ltd. as a Property Treaty Underwriter, where they worked from September 2008 to January 2015.

Alejandra also gained experience at Sompo Canopius, where they first worked as a Catastrophe Risk Analyst from October 2015 to February 2016. Alejandra then transitioned to the role of Deputy Reinsurance Manager from February 2016 to September 2016.

Alejandra Donoso Barrera, PhD, ACII obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nanotechnology from UCL, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Prior to this, they completed their MSci in Astrophysics at UCL from 1999 to 2003.
