Neda Alipanah has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Neda is currently serving as the Chief Ontologist in Data Science and Natural Language Processing at CoreLogic since April 2019. Before that, they worked as a Faculty of Computer Science Department at San Diego State University from August 2017 to August 2023. Neda also worked as a Semantics Solutions Manager at Thomson Reuters from December 2015 to April 2019. Previously, they held positions as a Research Fellow/Instructor at UC San Diego, a SME Consultant at Meliorix, a Research Engineer at Cognitive Medical Systems Inc., and a Semantic Web Researcher/Engineer at Jericho Systems. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas and started their career as a Software Engineer at IICIC.
Neda Alipanah received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University. Neda then went on to obtain a Master's degree (MSc) in Information Technology from the University of Liverpool in 2002-2003. Neda continued their education at The University of Texas at Dallas, earning a Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science from 2007-2010, followed by a PhD in Computer Science from 2007-2011. Neda also completed a PostDoctoral program in Bioinformatics at UC San Diego from 2012-2013.
