Chris Hayes

Chris Hayes has a strong background in software engineering and leadership. Chris currently serves as the Software Engineering Team Lead at Corista since March 2023. Previously, they worked at Twitter as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2019 to January 2023. At Twitter, they led the Direct Messages team, played a key role in co-creating a working agreement, and negotiated with the security team for prioritizing and addressing security concerns. Prior to that, Chris was a Software Engineer at Google from April 2013 to February 2019, where they demonstrated both people and technical leadership. Chris drove a partner team to take ownership of their needs as a client and architected a large-scale migration plan for notification systems in Drive, ensuring compliance with GDPR. Before their time at Google, Chris worked at FlixMaster as a Founding/Principal Engineer from January 2011 to March 2013. Chris was involved in technical interviews, managed contractors, and onboarded team members. Additionally, Chris worked as a Software Consultant for their own business from May 2009 to December 2010. Chris'searly career includes being the Lead Software Developer/Consultant at HyperSites from August 2003 to May 2009, where they assumed principal engineer responsibilities, designed and architected various features for the product.

Chris Hayes attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
