Cornelis Networks is hiring a talented and motivated Network SW/HW Security Architect to define and guide continued development of our network security strategy. The job will require working with customers across target and emerging market segments to gather and formulate requirements. The job will also require participation in industry standards committees to gather their network security requirements, and to the extent possible drive innovation to maintain Cornelis Networks leadership as a premier network solution provider. The role will require working closely with fellow architects, project management, software, firmware, and hardware development to plan and document an implementable network security architecture that meets or exceeds requirements. In addition, the role will require working with marketing and sales to develop collateral to effectively promote our network security solutions. 

The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth working knowledge of typical and emerging network security standards in High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence workloads in the Cloud and Data Center as they pertain to a comprehensive security model encompassing the network ASICs, hardware, firmware and software developed and delivered by Cornelis Networks and how they are implemented within a total system solution. This will include technologies such as in-network compute, secure root of trust processors, validated and certified firmware and software, wire level encryption protocols, network security auditing and so on.

The candidate must have experience in software and hardware development to succeed in translating requirements into working product specifications. 

Responsibilities:

  • Architect Cornelis Networks comprehensive end-to-end network security solutions.
  • Compile, understand and prioritize requirements from customers, industry standards, and governments (globally).
  • Compile, understand, and guide implementation of processes to certify solutions with industry standards and customers.
  • Specify hardware and software architecture design based on security requirements.
  • Educate fellow architects in network security.
  • Work with fellow architects to fit delivery of security requirements into overall architecture and roadmap.
  • Deliver requirements to development and negotiate implementation plans.
  • Specify third party hardware and software required to meet or exceed requirements.
  • Understand and communicate requirements for network security auditing.
  • Participate in and drive plan and team sizings.
  • Participate in developing marketing and sales collateral.
  • Work with solutions architects to fulfill implementation of network security requirements for key customers.
  • Work with service and support to resolve high priority customer issues with network security.
  • Drive emerging network security standards as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or the equivalent in training and experience
  • 10+ years' experience (post college) with network cybersecurity and privacy
  • Experience with security in high speed and traditional networks within the Cloud and Data Center
  • Experience with network security requirements in High Performance Computing, AI, & Large Data.
  • Familiarity with standard and common hardware and software components used to implement network security protocols.
  • Knowledge and understanding of root of trust processors, secure firmware and software validation, wire level encryption protocols, secure in-network computing, network security auditing, and similar technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills; needs to be able to talk with customers, architects, engineers, marketing, and industry standards committees.

Location:

For this position, Cornelis Networks fully supports remote employees who live within the United States and are able to travel to our corporate offices in Chesterbrook, PA periodically for in-person collaboration.
