Ashley W. has a diverse background in education, media production, and community service. Currently serving as an Advising Fellow at Matriculate since May 2018, Ashley provides guidance to low-income, high-achieving high school students to facilitate their transition to colleges and universities with high graduation rates. Experience includes roles as a Summer Support Advisor, where Ashley managed a large caseload during the COVID-19 pandemic and co-created a success handbook for incoming freshmen. Ashley has also contributed to the Cornell Daily Sun's multimedia department, producing and editing content, and served as a Resident Advisor at Chesterton House. Prior experience includes an internship with the International Rescue Committee, where Ashley taught English and civics to refugees, and a role at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, where Ashley produced documentary-style promotional materials. Ashley earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and Government, Summa Cum Laude, from Cornell University and completed a documentary workshop at the New York Film Academy.
