John Letendre is an experienced Assistant Project Manager at Cornell DEBUT, where leadership skills are applied to a sub-team focused on designing a low-cost pancreatic cancer early detection device. With a background in research and development, John collaborates with a group to innovate biomedical devices while gaining hands-on lab experience. Current roles also include Marketing Intern at Six Pack Coverage, contributing to brand development at Cornell University, and Outreach Committee Member for the Ithaca Health Initiative, promoting mental health advocacy. Prior experience includes package handling at FedEx Ground and Covid screening at Middlesex Eye Physicians. John is pursuing a degree at Cornell University, building on a foundation from the University of Hartford and University High School of Science and Engineering.

Cornell DEBUT
We are an engineering project team of undergraduate students across 17 majors who come together to develop innovative solutions for current biomedical problems and concerns. After two years of in-depth research and development, our project is submitted to VentureWell’s Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) competition, where it is judged based on innovation, feasibility, marketability, and patentability.
