John Downie

John Downie is a Principal Scientist at Corning Incorporated, where responsibilities include leading technical projects and conducting research related to optical networks and transmission systems since March 1999. Prior to this role, John served as a Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center from April 1989 to March 1999, focusing on optical information processing and photonic systems, including leading research on bacteriorhodopsin for use in holography.
