Sean Coakley

Sean Coakley, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sean began their career as an Accountant at multiple Fortune 500 companies from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, Sean joined Urban Impact Recycling as an Accountant, where they improved business intelligence and streamlined processes until 2011.

From 2012 to the present, Sean has worked at Corpay in different roles. Sean started as an FX Associate and then progressed to Regional Account Manager and National Account Manager + Market Strategist. In their current role as Director of Strategic Sales + Market Strategist at Corpay Cross Border, Sean structures and implements customized risk management solutions for corporate entities, investment funds, and financial institutions. Sean also helps businesses automate their payment processes and improve working capital management.

Additionally, Sean has pursued their passion for Muay Thai and opened East Van Muay Thai in 2021. Sean co-founded the gym to create a welcoming and inclusive community while providing a solid technical foundation in the sport.

Sean Coakley, CFA received their BA in Sociology & Economics from The University of British Columbia in 2005. In 2012, they completed the Canadian Securities Course. Additionally, they became a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute in 2013.
