Tord Jonsson has worked in a variety of roles in the supply chain and production management industries since 1990. Tord began their career at Sandvik Coromant as a Project Specialist, where they supported customers in international machine investment projects and developed and rationalized internal processes. In 2000, they moved to ÅF AB as a Consultant Production Development, where they supported many companies in areas such as production strategy, stock management, and product development. In 2005, they joined Novator AB as a Production and Procurement Manager, where they managed the supply of parts with extreme quality requirements and oversaw the final assembly, production, testing, and aftermarket service. In 2009, they became a Supply Chain Manager for Aqeri, where they were responsible for global sourcing of computer and network electronics from Asia and managing production of ruggedized products. Since 2017, they have served as Supply Chain and Quality Manager for CorPower Ocean, where they are responsible for harvesting energy from the ocean.
Tord Jonsson's education history began in 1983 when they attended Teknikum Växjö. In 1985, they joined the Swedish Royal Navy. From 1986 to 1988, they attended Linköping University, earning a Civilingenjör in Maskinteknik. In 1988, they continued their studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1990. In 2003, they attended ÅF Education for Change Management. The following year, they attended ÅF Education for Risk Management. In 2004, they attended Wenell Management and obtained an IPMA-International Project Management Association certification. In 2008, they attended Silf Competence for Strategic Purchasing & Logistics Management. Finally, in 2013, they attended Intertek Academy for CE-marking of electrical products and AddApp Management AB for Effective Personal Leadership by Paul J. Meyer.
