Alistair Metcalfe

Alistair Metcalfe is a highly experienced legal professional with a focus on renewable energy. Alistair currently holds the position of General Counsel at Corre Energy, where they are responsible for contributing to the overall business strategy and scaling up the company. Prior to joining Corre Energy, Alistair worked at Statkraft as a Senior Legal Counsel, where they played a key role in the acquisition of Element Power and assisted in the development and operation of wind, solar, and grid/battery assets. Alistair also served as the Head of Legal for the UK and Ireland during their time at Statkraft. Before that, Alistair was the General Counsel and Group Company Secretary for Element Power, where they provided legal and commercial services for various renewable energy projects. Alistair began their career at Allen & Overy as a Solicitor, specializing in corporate law. Overall, Alistair's work experience highlights their expertise in renewable energy, corporate law, and strategic business development.

Alistair Metcalfe attended Leeds Grammar School until 1999. Following this, they enrolled at Durham University from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History. Alistair then pursued further studies at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, specializing in the field of law. From 2003 to 2005, Alistair completed the Legal Practice Course (Hons), earning a Graduate Diploma in Law (Hons).
