Karolyn (Kari) Knop is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in clinical documentation integrity and auditing within the DRG revenue cycle. Currently serving as a Senior DRG Quality Auditor and CDI Reconciliation Auditor at CorroHealth since August 2021, Kari engages in comprehensive pre-bill and post-bill reviews to ensure revenue integrity and regulatory compliance. Previously, as the Lead Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist at Manatee Healthcare System, Kari audited record reviews and implemented education for clinical documentation integrity specialists and coders. With a robust background as a Clinical Documentation Improvement Coordinator at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and earlier roles as a Registered Nurse in various critical care settings, Kari possesses a strong foundation in medical record reviews, physician engagement, and quality management. Kari holds a Bachelor of Nursing from St. Petersburg College and multiple degrees from State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota.
