Richard Lupfer

Richard Lupfer has extensive experience in finance and technology strategy, with a focus on cost transparency and financial alignment. Richard started their career at LCI International in 1994, where they worked in corporate development, strategy, treasury, and risk management. Lupfer then moved to Tellabs Inc in 1997, where they served as a marketing/sales manager and treasury and risk manager. In 1998, they joined Iridium as the risk and treasury director, and then moved to Teleglobe in 1999 as the corporate treasurer and controller. Lupfer spent 2002 to 2005 at AOL as the corporate treasurer, responsible for capital management and financial operations. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at JPMorgan Chase as the vice president of finance and technology strategy, overseeing technology sourcing and real estate and equipment lease programs. Lupfer founded Flightline Ventures in 2006 and served as the CEO and founder, building the industry's leading aircraft leasing company. Richard joined Microsoft in 2012 as the head of product management, FP&A, and business controllership for Microsoft Cloud, driving profitability and financial reporting. Currently, Lupfer is with CORTAC Group as the vice president, focusing on business development and strategic client engagement.

Richard Lupfer completed their education starting from 1991. Richard first attended the United States Air Force Academy for a year, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aeronautical Engineering. In 1992, they transferred to The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, and International Business.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Richard Lupfer pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from the OneMBA program at Kenan Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina. Richard completed this program from 2004 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Richard Lupfer also attained certifications. Richard obtained their pilot license from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in May 1991. Richard also holds the Certified Treasury Professional certification, awarded by the Association for Financial Professionals, although the exact month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
