Barb McKergow

SVP Advertising Sales at Corus Entertainment

Barb McKergow has extensive experience in the advertising and media industry. Barb began their career as a Media Supervisor at Grey Advertising, where they were responsible for purchasing budgets on behalf of Warner Bros. Canada. Barb then moved on to Cott Beverages USA, where they worked as a Brand Manager, focusing on presenting and selling private label brand identities. Following this, Barb joined WIC Broadcasting as an Account Executive, handling national sales and managing Movie Business clients. Barb later worked at Canwest Mediaworks as an Account Executive before joining Shaw Media as a Sales Director. In this role, they managed multi-million-dollar budgets, worked with national advertisers, and had 23 direct reports. Barb then became the Head of Marketing Ventures at Shaw Media before ultimately joining Corus Entertainment. At Corus, they have held several senior roles, including Vice President and Senior Vice President of National Sales and National Advertising Revenue. Their responsibilities at Corus include overseeing advertising sales and revenue generation.

Barb Mckergow obtained a Senior Level Certificate in Business Management for Media Professional from the Schulich School of Business - York University in 2008. Prior to that, they completed a BA in Film & English at Western University from 1984 to 1988. In addition, they recently obtained a certification as a Cynch Ambassador from Corus Entertainment in 2022.
