Lisa Godfrey

Lisa Godfrey has a solid work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Lisa started their career in 2001 at Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting as Director of Original Lifestyle Content. Lisa then moved to Canwest in 2007 and held the position of Director of Original Lifestyle Content until 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at Shaw Communications, where they served as Director of Original Factual Content, Director of Programming and Scheduling, and Head of Original Content. Since 2016, Lisa has been with Corus Entertainment, initially as VP of Original Content and Corus Studios, and currently as Senior Vice President of Original Content and Corus Studios. In their current role, they are responsible for the commissioning strategy and development of Canadian original content for various leading brands owned by Corus Entertainment.

Lisa Godfrey earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film and Communications from Western University in 1989. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Communications from McGill University in 1987. Lisa also completed the CWC Career Accelerator Program and obtained a Management Leadership training certificate from the Schulich School of Business - York University. Additionally, they completed Shaw Communications: Leaders of Leaders Development Program at the Haskayne School of Business.
