Ali Borazjani

Science Director at Cosm Medical

Ali Borazjani, MD PhD has a diverse and impressive work experience. Ali began their career in 2006 as a Student Researcher, Genomics Technician, and Proteomics Intern at the Tissue Engineering Research Center. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Global Health Intern at Child Family Health International, a Postdoctoral Fellow (NIH T32 Urology) at Cleveland Clinic, and the President and Co-Founder of Global Innovations for Reproductive Health & Life. In 2011, they also became the Chief Scientific Officer of Innometrix. From 2017 to 2021, they attended Georgetown University School of Medicine as an MD candidate and completed their residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Northwestern University, where they served at both Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women's Hospital and John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. In 2018, they also became the Medical Director of COSM Medical Corp., where they guided the company's scientific strategy for development of a platform technology for producing customized vaginal pessaries and led the development of a novel ultrasound-based imaging system for biomechanical characterization of the vagina and its support structures.

Ali Borazjani, MD PhD completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Georgetown University from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Biomedical Engineering from Cleveland Clinic/Cleveland State University between 2011 and 2015. Ali also holds two Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees from Mississippi State University, one in Bioengineering from 2006 to 2011 and another in Biological Sciences from 2008 to 2011.
