Katherine Gafner (Kate)

Katherine (Kate) Gafner is a Senior Counsel at Coterra Energy, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this role, Gafner served as a Partner and Associate at K&L Gates from September 2011 to July 2022. Gafner's legal career began as a Law Clerk at Burns White LLC from May 2010 to May 2011. Before entering the legal field, Gafner worked as a Technical Support and Sales Representative at STARR Life Sciences Corp. from December 2006 to August 2008 and as a Biology Teacher at Maplewood High School from August 2004 to June 2006, teaching General Science, Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology. Educational achievements include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (2008-2011) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology Education from Grove City College (2000-2004).
