Emily Kay Hooke

Emily Kay Hooke has a diverse work experience. Emily Kay began working in 2021 as a Social Media Manager and Off-Campus Public Relations at Their Story is Our Story, where they managed social media accounts and handled public relations duties. In 2022, they joined the International Center for Law and Religion Studies as a Communications Assistant, where they worked until 2023. During this time, they gained experience in communications and gained skills in writing press releases. In 2022, they also became a Chapter Member at BYU PRSSA.

In 2023, Emily worked as a Public Relations/Communications Intern at Atlas Network. Here, they wrote newsletters, articles, and press releases, which resulted in improved storytelling skills. Emily Kay also contributed to social media strategy and copywriting on various platforms. Additionally, Emily currently holds two positions at Cotopaxi. Emily Kay started in 2022 as Marketing/Relations for the Campus Team at BYU and later transitioned to the role of Director/Community Relations Manager for the Campus Team at BYU in 2023.

Emily Kay Hooke is currently pursuing a BA in Public Relations with a minor in Global Business/Literacy at Brigham Young University. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including Muck Rack Essentials from Muck Rack, Social Listening with Explore: Advanced from Meltwater, Spreadsheets Badge- Microsoft Excel Certification from Canvas Credentials (Badgr), and Photo Manipulation Badge- Adobe Photoshop Certification also from Canvas Credentials (Badgr). Emily Kay has also received CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the North American Learning Institute in May 2022.
