Averyl Hartje

Averyl Hartje is a dedicated program assistant at the Council on Foreign Relations since September 2024 and previously served as the Lead Peer Advisor at Southern Methodist University from September 2020 to August 2024. In this role, Averyl trained new peer advisors, collaborated across multiple departments to support students in the study abroad application process, and acted as a student representative to the Board of Trustees, creating presentations on key student affairs. Averyl also chaired the Student Senate Organization Committee, advocating for student concerns and improving organizational processes. Additional experiences include interning at DeliverFund and Zaripov & Partners, conducting comprehensive research and developing policy recommendations, and serving as a mock trial witness. Averyl holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre (Acting) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern Methodist University.
