Kerry Persen

Kerry Persen, PhD, has extensive experience in global policy, advocacy, and research within the fields of international security and technology. Currently employed at Meta since 2019, Kerry leads global policy campaigns and programs related to AR/VR and advocacy. Concurrently, Kerry is an affiliate and fellow at the Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation, where responsibilities include leading the Mapping Militants Project. Kerry also serves as a National Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project since 2018. Other notable roles include consulting for the Institute for the Future and serving as a Minerva-USIP Peace and Security Scholar. Kerry's academic background includes a PhD and a Master's degree in Political Science from Stanford University, as well as an A.B. in Government and Economics from Bowdoin College.
