Naz Durakoglu

Naz Durakoglu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in foreign relations and national security. Currently serving as Staff Director for the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations since January 2025 and as a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations since 2020, Durakoglu has held significant roles at the U.S. Department of State, including Assistant Secretary of State and Acting Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs from January 2021 to January 2025. Earlier positions include Senior National Security Advisor in the United States Senate, where responsibilities encompassed managing bipartisan initiatives, and various legislative roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Subcommittee Staff Director.
