Shelley Ranii is an accomplished marketing and strategy professional with extensive experience in the aluminum industry. As the Director of Global Marketing at Alcoa since October 2015, Ranii oversees the development of global market strategies for aluminum, alumina, and bauxite products, including low-carbon offerings under Alcoa's Sustana line. Ranii also serves as Chair of the Primary Division at European Aluminium, advocating for the primary aluminum industry on trade, energy, and sustainability policies and has been involved in high-level discussions on regulatory frameworks. Additional roles include being a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and holding academic positions as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University and Coordinator of the Global Development Program at New York University. Ranii holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University, graduating cum laude.
