Simone Lipkind is a research associate in Middle Eastern Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations since August 2022, having previously interned in Middle East history and geopolitics at the same organization in late 2021. In 2021, Simone gained experience as an investigative intern in the Criminal Defense Practice at The Legal Aid Society and as an economic section intern focusing on Palestinian affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Earlier roles include serving as a core coordinator at EduMate NYC and participating as an American delegate at Seeds of Peace. Simone completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Arabic, with a minor in Food Systems & Nutrition, at Tufts University from 2018 to 2022, and attended The Brearley School along with The Mountain School of Milton Academy.
