Fernando Chavez

Fernando Chavez has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry. Fernando began their career in 2010 as a Network Operations Center Technician at TRICOM, S.A. where they were responsible for fault detection and trouble ticket handling in all variants of the company's network nationwide. Fernando was also responsible for monitoring and level 1 troubleshooting of company network elements such as multiplexers, microwave radios, switched central offices, and cellular base stations. In 2014, they began working at Rochester Institute of Technology as a Teaching Assistant, assisting the professor with instructional responsibilities for the Telecommunications Principles graduate course. Fernando also worked at Council Rock: Smart Private Networks as a Senior Systems Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Telecommunications Engineer Coop.

Fernando Chavez obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Universidad APEC between 2008 and 2012. In 2013, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Telecommunications Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. In July 2014, they obtained their Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco.
