Jackline Akinyi is a skilled Physical Planning Officer with extensive experience in urban planning and development control within Kisumu County since September 2020. Responsibilities include advising stakeholders on planning matters, vetting development applications, and implementing land use policies. Jackline plays a key role in leading local physical development plans for the Muhoroni Sub-County and has successfully increased customer satisfaction by addressing planning issues. Previous experiences include an internship at the Kenya Institute of Planners, where organizational skills were honed during the annual national planners convention, and serving as a Field Research Assistant for the University of Nairobi. Jackline holds a Bachelor of Arts in Planning from the University of Nairobi and has completed a specialized training in Urban Rural Linkages.

Kisumu is the principal city of western Kenya, the immediate former capital of Nyanza Province, the headquarters of Kisumu County and the proposed headquarters of the Lake Region Economic Block, which is a conglomeration of 15 counties in Western Kenya.
