Cassandra Matter

Cassandra Matter is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Director and Legislative Policy Aide for the County of San Mateo at the Office of Supervisor Ray Mueller. Prior experience includes roles such as Deputy Director of Outreach at the Office of Mayor Matt Mahan in San José and Policy Advisor and Communications Manager at the Office of Mayor Sam Liccardo. Cassandra also held the position of Executive Director at Solutions Silicon Valley and worked as a Marketing Communications Coordinator at Common Sense Media, where responsibilities included writing press releases and conducting media outreach. Additional experience includes being a Political Consulting Associate at TBWB Strategies and a Campaign Field Organizer for Yes on Regional Measure 3. Earlier career roles include a Legislative Intern with the California State Senate and various marketing internships.
