VP, Corporate Development at Coupa Software

Brett Simon is the current VP of Corporate Development at Coupa Software. Prior to this, they were the Director of Corporate Development at F5 Networks from July 2014 to May 2020. There, they were responsible for sourcing, strategy creation, evaluation and execution for F5's M&A program. Brett successfully closed complex deals ranging from acqui-hires/tuck-ins to >$1 billion in consideration. Brett reported directly to the Chief Strategy Officer/EVP. Brett's previous experience also includes working as an Associate at Ridgecrest Capital Partners from October 2010 to June 2014, where they worked on buy-side and sell-side M&A and private capital raising transactions for growth stage technology companies. Brett started their career as an Investment Banking Analyst Intern at MS Global Finance from May 2009 to June 2010. MS Global Finance is a boutique investment bank and financial advisory firm, dedicated to arranging fixed-income and equity transactions in developing economies across the globe. Brett also has experience working as a Program Associate at the Institute of International Education from November 2006 to July 2008.

Brett Simon has a Masters in International Finance and Economics from Columbia | SIPA, a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, and a High School diploma from St. Ignatius College Prep.
