Gabe Perez is the Vice President of Strategy at Coupa Software. Gabe has over 10 years of experience in the retail and software industries.

Gabe Perez started their career as a Consultant at Ariba, where they were responsible for the Amgen 9r1 upgrade as the global project manager. Gabe then became a solution expert for 9r1 upgrades for the company, including presenting at the Sales Kick off on best practices for upgrading.

In July 2007, Gabe Perez started working as a Retail Consultant. Gabe assisted with buying activities for women’s clothes and men’s clothes, jewelry and accessories. Gabe also went on buying trips to LA Market and Coterie in New York. Gabe Perez was responsible for communicating with vendors regarding purchasing lead times, current purchase order status, shipping and delivery issues. Gabe also had to enter, receive, place and track PO’s in order to monitor inventory levels. Gabe Perez was successful in increasing sales per foot by analysis of inventory placement and sales history while reducing costs.

As Retail Consultant, Gabe Perez was also responsible for driving decisions regarding process and involving key initiatives in a high end fashion boutique (3500 sq. ft.). Gabe had to work closely with Financial Manager to keep inventory within budget limits. Gabe Perez also had to coordinate process improvements involving store inventory and purchase orders. In addition, they had to manage high impact business and reporting processes to ensure both consistency and accuracy of operations.

In their current position as Vice President of Strategy at Coupa Software, Gabe Perez is responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning efforts and providing guidance on how to execute the company’s strategy. Gabe also works closely with other executives to develop and implement growth initiatives.

Gabe Perez has an MBA in Global Supply Chain Management from Clarkson University, a BS in Marketing Management from Siena College, and an AA in Liberal Arts from College of Marin.

Their manager is Rob Glenn, EVP, Global Sales. They are on a team with Marco Mastrapasqua - VP, Sales Operations, Keaton Miller - SVP, Customer Value Management, and Ronan Kerouedan - VP, Global Value Solutions Consulting.
