Richard Lauter

Richard Lauter is a licensed mental health professional at Courage to Connect Mental Health Center since March 2023. Additionally, Richard serves as Of Counsel in the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Group at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP, a position held since March 2022, after previously chairing the same group from March 2016 to March 2022. Richard's legal career began as an equity partner and practice group leader at Freeborn & Peters LLP from May 2008 to December 2015. Richard holds a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago (2016-2018), a Doctor of Law from Northern Illinois University College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The University of Kansas.
