Stewart Alexander

Stewart A. has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and systems administration. Stewart most recently worked as a Network Engineer at Covariant starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Network & Linux Engineer at a company in stealth mode (hldden) from 2019 to 2023.

Before that, Stewart A. worked as an AIX Power and zOS Mainframe Systems Engineer (Contract) at Red Hat (via Procom) from 2018 to 2019. Stewart also had a brief stint as a Senior Linux Systems Engineer at NAA Life in 2018.

Going further back, Stewart A. worked as a Senior Systems Test Engineer at ARCA Worldwide from 2016 to 2018. Notably, they played a role in resolving a Man-in-the-Middle (MiTM) attack vector for ARCA Worldwide ATMs and contributed to the development of a successful blockchain model for the cash industry.

Stewart A. began their education at Athens Drive High School, where they pursued a general studies curriculum from 1993 to 1995. After completing high school, they attended Appalachian State University from 1995 to 1998, focusing on computer science and graphic design. In addition, in 1995, they pursued a certificate program in BISDN network architecture at Wake Technical Community College. Later, from 1998 to 2001, Stewart attended North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Technology & Society, with fields of study in computer science, physics, meteorology, and international policy.

Stewart also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1998, they earned a BISDN Network Architect certification from Wake Technical Community College. Stewart then went on to obtain the following certifications:

- Certified Support Professional 1 (CSP-1) from SSPA in October 2007

- Motorola WLAN Platform Technical Engineer from Motorola Solutions in December 2009

- Electrostatic Discharge Certification from ESDA.org - Electrostatic Discharge Association in March 2012

- RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE) - exam only from Red Hat in May 2014

- Licensed Ham Radio Operator from ARRL, The national association for Amateur Radio in April 2021.
