Patrick Childs

Patrick Childs has a diverse work experience background spanning several industries. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Strategic Operations at Covenant, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior Director of Strategic Operations at Covenant from January 2022 to June 2022.

Before joining Covenant, Patrick worked at SimplyBank as the Directing Technology Officer from October 2021 to December 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Directing Project Management & Innovation Officer from January 2021 to October 2021, and Senior Project Management Officer from October 2020 to January 2021.

Patrick also gained experience at Covenant, where they served as the Director of Enterprise Support & Delivery from June 2020 to September 2020. Before that, they held the role of Director of Training & Employee Development from July 2019 to June 2020 and Sr. Manager of Training and Employee Development from December 2018 to June 2019.

Additionally, Patrick has worked in logistics management roles at Highway Transport Logistics, Inc. as a Logistics Manager from October 2017 to November 2018, and at U.S. Xpress, Inc. as a Customer Operations Manager from August 2016 to October 2017 and as a Logistics Operations Trainer from August 2014 to August 2016. Patrick also worked as a Capacity Buyer from May 2012 to August 2014.

Earlier in their career, Patrick worked at TransCard as the Director of Logistics & QA from May 2011 to May 2012, Project Manager from October 2010 to May 2011, and Account Manager from May 2010 to October 2010. Prior to that, they held the position of General Manager at Pilot Flying J from October 2008 to May 2010. Patrick began their professional career at Cherokee Health Systems as an Operations Intern/Communications Coordinator from July 2007 to July 2008.

Patrick Childs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University between 2003 and 2007. Patrick then pursued a Master of Arts degree at Wake Forest University from 2013 to 2016. Prior to their university education, they obtained a High School Diploma from the Webb School of Knoxville, graduating in 2003. In addition to their academic achievements, they also hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, which was obtained in 2017 from U.S. Xpress, Inc.
