Michael Hindmarsh

Michael Hindmarsh has extensive work experience in various roles in the banking and financial sector. Michael began their career as a Project Manager at DMH Ltd, where they worked on domestic and military construction projects. Michael then joined Lloyds Banking Group, where they served as a Project Manager and led various business transformation projects. Michael also worked at Barclays as a Programme/Project Manager, overseeing a portfolio of business and IT transformation projects. Hindmarsh later joined TSB Bank as a Programme Manager, where they successfully delivered a programme to establish TSB Bank as a mortgage lender. Michael also worked at Nationwide Building Society as a Programme Manager, leading an IT Transformation Programme. At RBS, they worked as an Implementation Consultant, providing support to the Williams & Glyn Implementation Programme. Hindmarsh returned to Lloyds Banking Group as the Head of Programme Delivery, where they led three Business Transformation Programmes. Michael then joined Lloyds Banking Group again as a Snr. Programme Manager, responsible for key elements of the Rose Programme. Currently, Hindmarsh is the Head of Mortgages Portfolio at Coventry Building Society. Michael also served as the Head of IT Transformation Portfolio at Coventry Building Society, where they led technical initiatives to remediate technical debt and mitigate risk.

Michael Hindmarsh has a diverse education history. Michael attended the Royal Institute for Financial Services in 2009-2010, focusing on banking. During the same period, they also studied Business Studies at The Open University. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued a degree in Mathematics & I.T. from The Open University. In 1999-2000, they studied Information Technology at Basingstoke College of Technology. Their earliest education was at John Hanson Community School from 1994 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Michael Hindmarsh has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they became a Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. In 2021, they earned a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from the same institution, as well as a DevOps Leader certification from the DevOps Institute. In 2018, they obtained various certifications, including AgileDS™ Practitioner, Cloud Computing, ITIL Practitioner, MoP (Management of Portfolios) Practitioner, Resilia (Cyber Resilience & Security), and Enterprise Big Data Professional. Furthermore, in 2018, they achieved AgilePgM® (Agile Programme Management) certification from APM Group. In 2013, they obtained MSP Practitioner and PRINCE2 Practitioner certifications from APM Group. Lastly, in 2010, they earned CeRBCB - Retail Banking Conduct of Business certification from ifs University College, CeFA - Financial Advisor (Level 3) certification from The London Institute of Banking & Finance, and Cert Bus Stud (Open) - Business Studies certification from The Open University. Finally, in 2009, they obtained CeSRE - Supervising in a Regulated Environment certification from ifs University College.
