William Champion, CPCU, RPLU has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. William began their career at State Street in 2001, where they worked as an Account Controller for two years. William then joined the North Carolina Department of Insurance in 2003 as a Research and Accounting Analyst. In 2005, they moved to the Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina, working as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist for three years. In 2008, they joined Coverys, where they held various positions, including Underwriting Compliance Analyst, Product Development Analyst, Product Compliance Supervisor, and Director of Product & Service Development. William currently serves as the Vice President of Product Development at Coverys since April 2022.

William Champion, CPCU, RPLU, began their education at St. Mary's School, where they completed their primary schooling. William then pursued a degree in Accounting at North Carolina State University from 2006 to 2008. Following this, William attended Bentley University from 1994 to 1996, although the specific degree and field of study are undisclosed. In addition to their education, William has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. In 2010, they became a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter through the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Subsequently, in 2011, they earned an Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC) from The Institutes. William's latest certification, the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, was obtained from The Institutes in May 2016.
