Lorissa Payne

Lorissa Payne is an experienced English educator currently employed as an English Teacher at Covina-Valley Unified School District since August 2023 and as a Summer School ELA Teacher at Citrus College since June 2020. Prior to these roles, Lorissa taught English 9 and LTEL (ELD) students at Azusa Unified School District from August 2021 to July 2023, where significant student reclassification success was achieved. Previous experience includes long-term substitute teaching across various English and science subjects in multiple districts and teaching 7th and 8th grade English and math in after-school programs. An alumnus of Biola University with a Bachelor's degree in English and multiple post-graduate credentials, Lorissa is also pursuing a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University.
