Matthias O.

Matthias O.'s work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Matthias is currently working as the Head of Corporate Engagement at CDP, where they drive environmental disclosure, insight, and action among corporates in the Southeast Asia and Oceania region. Matthias also has experience as the APAC Climate Lead at Moody's Corporation, where they rolled out climate risk products and provided thought leadership in climate data and platforms.

Prior to that, Matthias served as the Executive Director of the MILK Fund and Deputy Director at the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). Matthias also worked at PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, as a Principal Engineer, leading efforts in water sustainability, adaptation, and climate change mitigation. Additionally, they held the role of Senior Assistant Director at the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR), where they led climate policymaking and technical expertise.

Matthias has worked as a Regional Practice Lead at CH2M, a bespoke consulting firm, and as an Executive at Singapore Airlines, where they handled strategic procurement and product development. Matthias began their career as an Imagery Analyst Assistant at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore.

Throughout their career, Matthias has demonstrated expertise in climate risk, environmental stewardship, sustainability reporting, and climate change adaptation.

Matthias O. completed the Future Leaders Programme in Organizational Leadership at NUS Business School from 2021 to 2022. In the same year, they also attended the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Programme (ISEP) at INSEAD, where they studied Impact, Entrepreneurship, Business, and Strategy.

In 2006, Matthias O. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the National University of Singapore. During their studies, they had a brief academic stint at ETH Zürich in 2009, focusing on Environmental Science and other related disciplines.
