Steve Howarth has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles. Steve started their career in the US Navy as a Machinist Mate 1st Class, serving for 8 years in the Nuclear Power field. Steve then joined Hewlett-Packard, where they worked as a Hardware Design Engineer, leading the design and integration of motherboard solutions for multi-function printers. Steve also played a crucial role in ensuring EMC compliance and testing of engine electronics. At Micron Technology, Steve served as a Systems Engineer and Technical Marketing Program Manager, leading customer support and conducting market research for emerging display technology. Returning to Hewlett-Packard, they held positions as a Systems Engineer, Requirements Manager, and Technical Program Manager & Solutions Architect, overseeing firmware requirements, managing customer relationships, and taking a cloud-based content management solution to market. Most recently, Steve has been with Cradlepoint, starting as a Hardware Project Manager and progressing to Vice President of Engineering. In their various roles at Cradlepoint, they have led teams of engineers, developed strategic product portfolios, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and driven cross-functional program management.
Steve Howarth completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Utah State University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Steve then pursued a Masters degree in Business Administration at Walden University from 2006 to 2011.
