Sunil Jacob

Sunil Jacob has over 18 years of work experience in various roles related to DevOps, architecture, and engineering. Sunil is currently working as a Principal Engineer - DevOps at Cradlepoint since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Architect - DevOps at IBO (Ebo Mart Private Limited) from August 2021 to December 2022.

Before that, Sunil worked at Falabella India as an Architect - DevOps from September 2019 to August 2021. In this role, they engineered cloud solutions in GCP to support e-commerce sites, using Kubernetes to build and operate large clusters, and creating and maintaining VPC and related networking.

From July 2018 to September 2019, Sunil worked as a Sr. Architect at Philips.

Prior to that, they worked at Target for over 11 years, starting as a Senior Software Engineer in November 2007 and progressing to the roles of Team Lead, Project Lead, and Lead Engineer. In these roles, Sunil worked on upgrading Vertex package applications, set up measurements and monitoring of servers and application logs, worked on modernization technologies, and led project teams in complex large-scale corporate projects.

Sunil also has previous experience at ITC Infotech as an Associate IT Consultant from March 2006 to November 2007, at Srishti Software as a Software Engineer from May 2005 to February 2006, and at Ample Technologies as a Sales Executive from July 2004 to February 2005.

Sunil Jacob has a diverse education history with a focus on technology and data analytics. Sunil completed their Post Graduation in Big Data and Machine Learning from Great Lakes Institute of Management in 2018-2019. In the same period, Sunil also pursued a Post Graduate Program in Big Data and Machine Learning from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Prior to that, in 2002-2004, Sunil attended Alliance Business Academy and obtained a PG degree in IT and Management with a specialization in Systems Management. Earlier, from 1997 to 2001, they studied at Tamilnadu College of Engineering, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Sunil Jacob has obtained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Sunil became a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) through The Linux Foundation in August 2021. Furthermore, they hold the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification, which they achieved in February 2021 under the mentorship of Google.
