Mike Lawrence has a wealth of experience in the aerospace industry. Starting in 2004, they completed a Commercial Pilot License and part of a Diploma in Aviation Management at HELiPRO. Afterward, they attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating with a BSc in Aerospace Engineering in 2008. Following this, they worked as an IT Consultant at Great Southern in 2012. In 2013, they completed a Pre-Masters Research project at Cranfield University. In 2014, they completed an MSc in Aerospace Dynamics at Cranfield University, with a thesis focusing on the aerodynamic behaviour of vortices shed from a F1 car's front wing. In 2016, they worked as an Aerodynamics Engineer at AKKA Tech, contracted to Airbus UK. In 2017, they joined Mirus Aircraft Seating, where they served as an Engineering Planner and Technical Project Co-Ordinator/Manager. In 2021, they joined Williams Racing as a Senior Project Engineer, primarily tasked with the timely delivery of mechanical components to the FW44 race car. Finally, in 2022, they joined Cranfield Aerospace Solutions as an Engineering Project Lead.
Mike Lawrence completed their Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2011. Mike then completed a Pre-Masters Research program at Cranfield University in 2014, followed by a Master of Science in Aerospace Dynamics from Cranfield University in 2015. In 2006, they obtained a Commercial Helicopter Pilot certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand.
