Dr Nathan Scott

Distinguished Design Engineer at CraniUS

Dr. Nathan Scott has an extensive work experience in various companies and institutions. Dr Nathan currently holds the position of Distinguished Design Engineer at CraniUS LLC, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Design Instructor at The Johns Hopkins University from 2011 to 2022, where they were responsible for leading design teams, managing a maker space and design studio, and liaising with industry for project development. In 2011, Dr. Scott briefly worked as a Design Engineer at the Dreamfit Foundation. Dr Nathan'searliest work experience dates back to 1996, when they served as a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at The University of Western Australia. During their time there, they focused on teaching design and manufacturing, conducting research on human motion measurement, and developing software for teaching engineering dynamics.

Dr. Nathan Scott obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (mech) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Western Australia, where they studied from 1984 to 1987. Dr Nathan further pursued their education and earned a PhD in Engineering Education from the same university, completing their doctoral studies between 1989 and 1996.
